About this policy

Tidewater Home and Tech respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Maco Strategy LLC, doing business as Tidewater Home and Tech (“Tidewater Home and Tech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects through tidewaterhometech.com and through related calls, texts, emails, quote requests, payments, and service interactions. It also explains how we use, share, protect, and retain that information.

Information we collect

Information you provide

We may collect information that you choose to provide when you request a quote, contact us, schedule service, make a payment, or become a customer. This may include:

• Your name, phone number, email address, and preferred way to be contacted.
• The city and ZIP code where you need service. We may request the full service address later if it is needed to schedule or provide service.
• A description of the work you want, the type of service involved, your preferred timing, and other details you include.
• Photos or files you upload to help us understand your equipment, fixture, work area, or requested project.
• Communications with us and records related to estimates, appointments, projects, invoices, payments, warranties, and customer support.

The quote-request form does not ask for payment-card information or create a customer account. We may use Zoho Books to prepare estimates, invoices, and accounting records for work that becomes a customer project. Customers may be able to pay through PayPal or a credit- or debit-card payment service connected to Zoho Books. Full payment credentials are submitted to and processed by the payment provider under its own privacy policy. We may receive billing information, payment status, transaction details, and limited payment-method information, such as the card brand and last four digits.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting, security, and website-service providers may automatically receive limited technical information, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser and device type, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time of a request. We use this information to deliver and secure the website, diagnose problems, and understand general website usage.

The site currently uses Cloudflare for hosting, security, and privacy-focused website analytics. It also requests fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser connects to these providers, they may receive technical information needed to respond to the request. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers.

How we use information

We may use personal information to:

• Review and respond to quote and service requests.
• Contact you by the method you selected, including phone, text message, or email.
• Prepare estimates; schedule appointments; plan, provide, and support projects; send invoices; record payments; and follow up about work you requested.
• Maintain customer, service, warranty, payment, tax, accounting, and other business records.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and services.
• Prevent fraud, misuse, or security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Submitting a quote request gives us permission to contact you about that request. It does not subscribe you to promotional emails or text messages. We will not use quote-request information for promotional marketing unless you first give us separate, explicit written permission.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

• Service providers that help us operate the website, receive and store form submissions, communicate with customers, maintain records, or run the business. These currently may include Cloudflare, Google Fonts, our email and telecommunications providers, and Zoho applications such as Zoho Forms, Zoho CRM, Zoho Bookings, Zoho Books, and Zoho Projects.
• Accountants, insurers, attorneys, and other professional advisers when reasonably necessary.
• Government authorities or other parties when required by law, needed to protect rights or safety, or necessary to investigate fraud or a security incident.
• A buyer, successor, or other involved party if the business is reorganized, sold, merged, or transferred, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Uploaded photos and request details are used to evaluate and provide the requested service. We will not publish them or use them in advertising, testimonials, or social media without separate permission.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate business, warranty, tax, accounting, insurance, security, and legal needs.

Unless a longer period is required for one of those reasons, we retain:

• Quote requests that do not become customer projects, including uploaded photos and the corresponding records in Zoho Forms and Zoho CRM, for seven years after the last communication.
• Customer, appointment, project, service, invoice, payment, and related records for seven years after the last service or transaction.

Our service providers may retain backups, logs, or records for their own documented retention periods. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymize it, or securely dispose of it.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. At present, business access to quote submissions, uploaded photos, and customer records is limited to owner Stephen Macomber. Our technology providers process information as needed to provide their services. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You may ask us to provide, correct, or delete personal information that you submitted. You may also ask us to stop using your information for a particular purpose or to stop contacting you. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may retain information when reasonably necessary or legally required.

To make a privacy request, email privacy@tidewaterhometech.com or contact us using the information below. Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have additional rights. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Other websites and services

Our website may link to websites or services operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, website, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
